Thoughts in the Darkness

by Cody Dennis   Mar 29, 2006

Most people fear it, but i hold it dear
My refuge, my sanctuary, thats always been here
It shields from the faces of this world
Allowing me to put aside the superficial standards
All based on sight, for none of these matter in the blackness of night
I look instead inside peoples souls
Their comforts, their fears, watch the saga unfold
And then i look deeper inside myself
All the torture and sadness others have felt
Means I'm not alone, in fact none of us are
We all have our problems, we all have felt pain
We've cried in the darkness, we've all been ashamed
So we need to stop whining and learn to move on
Cause life keep on going, tomorrow its gone
