Writer's Block

by Briana   Apr 3, 2006

Empty thoughts, shallow mind
My head has drawn a blank
Where pictures once fluttered every which way
And originality ran free

Now darkness has closed in
Surrounding me completely
Where the freedom of expression once satisfied
A sufficient part of me

Only half of me was conscious
As the verses filled the pages
Words flew out effortlessly
Passion overwhelmed me

Now it seems the spark
Has vanished and gone far away
My eloquence has disappeared
Leaving me astray

Haha, great poem. I laugh because you are writing about writer's block using the skills you claim to have lost. Anyway, good poem. I can completely relate.
