Annihilation (Pleiades)

by HOLLY ARMER   Apr 11, 2006

Anger flashes quietly
across my damaged eyes
Asphyxiating time
as memories collide
Anchoring my hatred
amplifying rage and
annihilating hope

*A pleiades is a seven line verse. Only one word is allowed in the title, and the first word in each verse begins with the same letter as the title. [Hortensia Anderson, a popular haiku and tanka poet, added her own requirement of restricting the line length to six syllables

Very good poem....although you did you purposly put seven syllables in the first sentence?...cause you say that it has six in each sentence but your first one has seven...just wanted to tell you that and that it was really good.
