Loss

by fallen angel   Apr 11, 2006

Loss is like an echo,
Memories beating down,
Slowly they will fade away,
Further into the distance.
One day they will be gone,
Only triggered by a photo, a scent, a sound.

Loss is like a mole tunneling through the ground,
The hurt seems to have disappeared but it appears again ever so often,
Bringing new fresh pain to healed wounds.

Loss is like dusk, everything is still, silent,
Nothing seems to move and you're all alone.
The end of what has gone by,
No going back.
You will never see that day again.

Similar to hailstone, loss can sting your face.
Every breath is difficult, you just want to escape.
Hide away all alone, never to be
Disturbed.

Loss goes through phases of red to grey then murky.
Red is the anger,
How dare they leave!
Grey is the confusion.
Your tears never seem to end,
Turning the world all murky.

Loss is like a rose.
Looking at the rose we see all of its beauty,
Soon it dies and goes away.
Like the one you love once did.

It seemed deep and more detailed. I didn't care much for that sentence with the exclaimation point as it seemed to accuse and shout. But other than that it was a lot better than your other one. 5/5
