Mask the tears

by C Cattaway   Apr 13, 2006

I'm laying here alone again,
thoughts running through my head,
of how I wish you'd not gone home,
but shared my hollow bed.
I want to hold you through the night.
I want to keep you warm.
I want to wake within your arms,
upon the break of dawn.
So lonely is what lonely feels,
& I must dream away,
For, sleep can mask the tears,
until I face another day.
