If I Ever...

by C Cattaway   Apr 13, 2006

If I'm sleeping, don't wake me.
If I'm naked, don't dress me.
If I'm shouting, don't hush me.
If I smile, just caress me.
If I'm laughing, laugh with me.
If I'm screaming, just hold me.
If I'm crying, encourage me
to stop. Don't say that you told me.
If I'm sorry, forgive me.
If I'm lonely, accept me.
If I'm losing, just help me.
If I'm mad, don't upset me.
If I'm drowning, rescue me.
If I'm drinking, drink with me.
If I'm singing, sing with me.
If I leave, then don't miss me.
If I'm falling, then catch me.
If I'm winning, then praise me.
When my spirit is sinking,
I think of you, and you raise me.
