As You Leave

by C Cattaway   Apr 19, 2006

Dear Granny, as you leave this world
And move on to the next,
Your spirit is much lighter now
Safe, without bones, or flesh.

The light that you have given out,
The memories, still held,
People whom you loved, and cared for,
Their best wishes, they send.

Whilst you will be very missed,
We'll know that you're still here,
For if we ever think of you,
Your spirit will be near.

If we need to talk to you,
We'll merely speak aloud,
And if we listen hard enough,
You'll answer without sound.

So Granny, as you're laid to rest
Beneath the grass, on land,
Your spirit will soar high above
Right up to Gods right hand.

Rest in peace, dear Granny.xx
