Hypnotic Dance floor

by Naima   Apr 20, 2006

Here I am
There you are
Standing against the wall
Your silhouette seems so far
From grasp

The floor lights along with your steps
My back exposed to the wall is getting wet
The heat is compressed
I\'m next
For this emotional trip

Feels so good to feel the cool of this wall
Listening for the next songs call
The lights flash before my eyes
Followed by my songs soulful cries

You look so good on the dance floor
Should I make the Endeavour?
I feel a fever coming on
Temples hot
My heart in place
Ready to be shot

Feels so good I might waltz over to your place
Stare you directly in the face
And challenge you to dance

I brush my way through the crowd
Cut through the grinding
For, no one can hear me through all the noise
\"Excuse me! \"
I call out but it\'s too loud

My deeper thoughts are lost within the oblivion of the tunes floating in the air
I could feel the very hairs
Of my neck stand

\"Bartender water please\"
\"Apple Martini from over there...
White shirt\"
I turn to thank my buyer
We lock eyes
I feel my hopes rising higher
The humidity up here is much drier

You can thank me with a dance...
"I just don't have time for romance"
"Come on it's just a dance"
"I suppose a dance won't hurt"

Given the okay
I approached the floor
One dance with you
And now I begging for more

Next song blares
Staring into your eyes
Calms the alarm in my ears
Softly erasing my fears
I'm so glad I came here
