I'd do anything for you

by Yazdan   Apr 23, 2006

As long as my heart beats
And blood flows through my veins
I'll protect you from harm
And ease all your pains

I'd suffer the punishment,
The torture, the pain
To see through your lips
A smile again

When life makes you sad
And you cry painful tears
I'll wrap my arms around you
Until gone are all your fears

If you ever feel
Like you mind is in pain
I'll stay by your side
Until you are again sane

I'd endure endless pain
i'd share with you the flu
But all these things
i'd do for nobody but you

    Hey Yaz,

Well I hadn't read this one before and I agree pain and different variations of pain were used alot but repetition give emphasis.. allows the reader to see what the point is so it isn't that you are repeating pain and that's the topic but if you re read you see that it's you'd with stand pain for this person. I like it overal I think you did quite well and enjoyed it very much.

Nice sentiment but you used pain and variations of the word too much.

I thought this poem was very cute and sweet. Though your ryhmes weren't the best, the meaning really picked up the slack for it. I enjoyed reading your poem very much.
