Ordinary

I'm no superhuman,
I'm no hero on TV
Cut me open, I will bleed
I'm nothing more than me.

I can't lift cars above my head
Or rip a tree in two,
How to save the human race?
I haven't got a clue

I'm slower than a bullet
Weaker than any train,
I couldn't even leap a fence
I really am quite plain,

I am just ordinary
I'm not one of a kind,
And if that's not enough for you
I'll leave you far behind.

I am little more in life
Than the common man,
But love you like no other
This I know I can

I am still stunned that when I look
You are here by my side
I look into your eyes and know
I've no reason to hide

With you I can be anything,
From mortal bounds I'm free
I will be that hero,
The one you see in me.

Wow, this is truly greatness in such little letters and spaces. :)
