Cowgirl Cheyenne (Honky-tonk 'ell) lyrics

by Kaylee   Apr 29, 2006

Verse One
Kicked dust swirling ‘round cowgirl boots.
Past ashes swept with turning of heel.
Crushed pieces caught in love’s thorns.
Heart bleeding...bleeding where torn.

Verse Two
Eyes pleading Heaven, “You here?”
Soaked ground holding more than it bears.
Reddish hair blown with Angel’s reply.
Forever haunted...haunted drowning mind.

Chorus
Had she found miracles? Would she die?
Taunted with accusations, she does cry.
Cowgirl Cheyenne wipe your hands clean.
Poor hidden love went to Honky-tonk ’ell.

Verse Three
Drank whiskey, downed another beer.
There goes the Devil saying, “No fear.”
No use pretending when sorrow is high.
Forgiveness...forgiveness maybe in time.

Verse Four
Hands wanting what they had lost.
Warmth, protection, kept at no cost.
Moisturized lips for drinking tonight.
He waited...waited Cheyenne never came.

Chorus
Had she found miracles? Would she die?
Taunted with accusations, she does cry.
Cowgirl Cheyenne wipe your hands clean.
Poor hidden love went to Honky-tonk ’ell.

Chorus
Had she found miracles? Would she die?
Taunted with accusations, she does cry.
Cowgirl Cheyenne wipe your hands clean.
Poor hidden love went to honky-tonk ‘ell.

Honk-Tonk: Cheap bar or dance hall
Not many country music fans well hope you enjoyed it anyway.

I like listening to some kinds of country music now so this is my first attempt at a country song. I didn't want to put the first letter in front of the last word in the chorus but you can pretty much guess what it is. If you think I should write another country song let me know.
