Keeper of the Storm

by HOLLY ARMER   May 1, 2006

Lightening dances in her eyes
as rain savages her skin
She is the keeper of the storm
fighting these feelings deep within

Shadowed by the thunder
she wears it like a dress
Secrets worn like accessories
that she's longing to confess

Her raven hair whips gracefully
in the torment of the breeze
Overtaken by the memories
that bring her to her knees

Mustering strength through
the cascade of her tears
With the grace of one hand
a majestic tornado appears

Creating devastation to
vent the anger and pain
Knowing in her heart
she's got nothing to gain

But this is her life
the role to which she was born
A vicious and heartless temptress
the keeper of the storm

    WOW

There are hardly words to explain how I feel about this poem...

I was held captive by the imagery and left breathless.

I think that says it all but yet way understated...

    I LOVE THIS POEM =D
