My Obsession

by Brian King   May 3, 2006

Today is the day I found my new obsession
But something is stopping my confession
Inside my head I have held many a session
To figure out the answer to the question
What will it take to have you in possession?
How ever I go about it, it will require discretion
Otherwise I would cause my own suppression
But I willl probably fail; I made no great impression
You did not seem thrilled, by your expression
But I will not give up this attempted ascension
I will not allow my own compression
I'm dedicated now, to my obsession

This was very well done. Did you find it hard to incorpertate those many words ending with "sion"? I think I would find it hard. but you did a great job with it!

If someone had told me that they could write a poem using ten words rhyming with 'obsession' I would've laughed at them.

    This was great.

You've crafted this very well with what is (let's be honest) a limited selection of possible rhymes. An entertaining read: well done.

This is a really clever poem, I enjoyed how it all flows and how you have crafted your words. Even though it is obviously confined to the rhyming structure, your rhyming doesn't sound forced at all. Nice job :)
