Moments That Matter

by Bradley   May 3, 2006

Laying on my bed now
Looking at my light bulb
A piano starts up
Fingers wandering over the keys
I dont blink once
My pillow is so comfortable
I zoom in on myself from above
As if im the light bulb
Or the light itself
The rays of light themselves
Shooting my eyes
Allowing me to see myself
From above
Just like the light
Or the light bulb
The piano grows louder
Im positioned like an X
Except my left arm
Thats curved over my head
So not like an X at all
Just staring upward
So hard
Almost through my ceiling
At the stars
If i could see the stars
I'd be embarrassing them
Just like a human
When you stare hard at them
And they stare back
Just for a while
Then look Away
Embarrassed
The piano comes crashing in
A blur of fingers, fists
Waves of skin
Crashing upon a musical shore
I blink
It stops
Sit up
Turn off light
Goodnight
