A precious life was created..

by Jessica   May 14, 2006

A precious life was created
Floating inside the mothers womb
It can hear her sweet voice
It can feel her every move
It holds on to her
For it cannot survive
Without her..

She discovers this special life
And cries herself to sleep
She does not want these memories
She does not want his baby..

As she thinks about
What he did to her..
How this baby
Was created
She just cries more..

What am I going to do?
She cries to herself..
I cannot have his baby
I cannot live with
What he created..

So she goes
To the dirty room
In the hidden house
And a lady dressed in white
Comes out and tells
Her to close her eyes

She closes her eyes
As this woman
Cuts inside of her
Kills whatever is there

And when she feels
Like she can breathe no more
Its over..

The woman pulls out
A tiny body
A baby that looks
Just like her

She puts it in a bag
And throws it away
As if it were a
Common candy wrapper

She walks away that day
And thinks about what she has done
She has killed an innocent being
She has killed herself
There is nothing left to live for.

The next morning
As her lifeless body
Lays on the blood splattered floor
She knows what she did was best
As there is no one is this world
That noticed or even cared
That another two lives
Had disappeared from
The world..

:/ I don't really like abortions, so I shouldn't have read this poem.. It really creeps me out, especially about the blood on the floor. I would give you a 4/5, but that wouldn't be fair.

Really good poem, sad but it's so ture things like that happen, and it kills me to know it but great poem.

Hey. Truthfully I didn't feel this was really a poem poem as it did not follow a strict rhythm. However, I too have some of those, and even mine don't have as much truth or feeling as this one did. So over all, it's really really good with alot of feeling and hurt. This actually hits a little close to home for me, and the topic of abortion is no news to anyone anymore; unfortunately it's becoming a common 'solution' for teens and even adults. Great job!

Hmmm... so from your footnote... this is obviously not something that happened to you... its a good poem... but not as deep as your others. Im very strongly against abortion and if i were to ever get an abortion (or was forced to get one) i would probably kill myself too. I've got to say with a little revision you could probably make this poem rhyme... or make it stronger... and it would be a hundred times better then what it already is... Much Love, Jen
