A knight in shining amour, although unlike the ones in fairytales,
Rides his black majestic horse and to the God of Justice hails.
From dawn till dusk he fights the evil that’s unleashed in his land,
Wherever help is needed, he’ll rush there to lend a hand.

His beautiful Gabrielle in her simple white and silver dress
Greets him with a hug and kiss for evil he tries so hard to oppress.
And every day she goes out to gather fresh fruit and flowers,
She never falls asleep without him even if she must wait for hours.

One day the God of War got really angry for this brave knight
With his endless strength and courage stopped almost every fight
And there’s was no more “fun” for him and so he thought
To ask Hades for help and they planned this evil plot.

When the knight was out fighting his loved one went for a walk
And when she bent to pick up some berries by a harpy she was caught.
The creature took her in the Underworld and chained her to the Wailing Wall
Where no one could find her or could her desperate call.

That night her loved one came home only to find and empty house –
No one was there, everything was silent even the little mouse.
“Gabrielle? Where are you?” he shouted looking for her all around,
But no matter where he looked she was no where to be found.

Desperately, he went outside with sour tears in his tired eyes
As he heard a voice that told him “Hades’ harpy took her by surprise
And now she lays below us, in the Underworld – the realm of the dead,
Take this road to find the entrance and don’t let yourself by insecurity mislead”

He looked around but he was all alone and couldn’t understand
From where that voice came and how it knew the path towards that land,
But he tried to push his insecurities away and keep his mind clear
For he must focus on finding his Gabrielle, so he needn’t fear.

After hours of walking down the road he finally reached the door
That led him into Hades’ land and got him closer to its core
Where the Wailing Wall is raised from the pain of those
That have suffered through eternity - for how long, only Hades knows.

“Release my love, you merciless God or I’ll kill you and your minions!”
“You fool! You are alone, a one-man-army and we are millions!”
“Do not enrage me more than I already am for you don’t know what I can do,
And if you don’t release her the one who’ll be begging for mercy will be you!”

Hades laughed with despise and summoned his demons and harpies
“You cannot stop me from killing you with the help of creatures such as these!”
And as he said those words he was crushing his enemies’ bones
And after many hours of battle they were all as useless as stones.

“Here!” he said pointing to the remaining fragments of bones and flesh
“Is this the help you rely on? Now, you’ll be dead before they ‘refresh’!”
And with these last words he drew his sword once more
Wanting to put a stop to this God that knows nothing more than abhor.

“Wait! Stop, please!” the knight behind him heard a female voice
“Please, don’t kill him, you can have your Gabrielle, please make this choice!”
To his amazement Persephone had come from a darkened corner
With drops that seemed to be tears in her eyes buried in disorder.

Before the knight had a chance to answer, Persephone set Gabrielle free,
“It was Ares that made the plan, not my Hades so please let him be!”
Although at first in disbelief, the knight felt confident with his love by his side
“I’ll let him live, but only because you begged me to and have not lied”

The two lovers ran away from that horrid place and were again together
“I felt so guilty when I did not find you at home, could you forgive me ever?”
“Of course, my darling, how can I not? I love you so much, you know
It was not your fault and even if it were I cannot ever let you go!”

As they were embracing, Hades – the ungrateful one – had a plan,
He could not rest until dead will be this daring man.
And as he was about to strike them as they silently slept
He was shocked when the beautiful Aphrodite with him met.

“Dare not severed them from life or you will have to deal with me
And by the Elder Gods I shall have all but mercy for thee!”
Her voice was powerful and it made Hades fright
So he went back to his realm and left alive Gabrielle and her knight.

The Goddess of love made sure the lovers will be left in peace
And love was the one that helped our knight his maiden release,
For the powerful love the two of them share
Was the only thing that made Aphrodite about them really care.

That was a very well written poem, except i came across one bit that wasn't really up to scratch..

"And there’s was no more “fun” for him and so he thought
To ask Hades for help and they planned this evil plot."

.. there's a bit of a grammar mistake there, i think 'there's' is supposed to be 'there.' And plot and thought don't really rhyme.
Personally i found that particular topic a bit boring, but I've got to say, the end was definitely exciting. The last ending sentence could maybe have been a bit better though, i didn't really feel as thought it was a good, strong ending. But overall it was a good, well-written poem and it definitely deserved 5/5. well done :)
