Cycle of Actions

by Torn   May 18, 2006

Thumping upon my ear drums,
Light weights of steel crashing down.
The harsh reality of who I am,
The reason I carry this frown.

Slicing away at my heart,
Like the razors of a razor blade.
Cutting away at my innocence,
And at the shameful mistake I made.

Smothering the light in me,
My one true self, my soul.
Like covering a burning fire,
Letting nothing escape the hole.

Posing thoughts into my head,
Like an actor having to pretend.
While slowly realising,
She's gone way past the end.

Questioning her every belief,
Like a cynic who refuses to see.
Doubting her every move and trust,
Forgetting the person she could be.

Tare her world apart,
As the cycle starts again.
She is losing warmth within her heart,
She's sick of having to pretend.

*kinda prompted by a fight with my parents, then it just kind of came out...
-sorry ive been away..so sorry to Fish Bowl-
