Midnight. Monday. May

by Emma Carnage   May 23, 2006

I'll write you a letter in the last of my lipstick
The letters come together to form words
The words come together to form letters
I'll sign it with X's and o's
More letters for the letters
And I'll write it in lipstick

Maybe sketch a kiss
Pencil it in for four o'clock
Write you a little face
With an x and two i's
And don't forget the no's
Two years but forget why
32 to the Tth

But I've got nowhere left to go
Just stay here one night
I promise to stop my lipstick lies
And it's no longer self inflicted love
You may be a loaded gun
But you're my controversial love

Love doesn't always have to rhyme with hideous car wreck
Sometimes it rhymes with you and me
Simply because this is the end of an era
