Summer Cycle

by Karen Simpson   May 29, 2006

Staying up late, deep into the night
Get out of bed, now a horrible sight
Go to work again, Not nearly awake
Grand lunch idea "Lets eat cake!"

Stomach in knots, and not feeling right
These waves of yawns, I must fight
Keep yourself going, dont take a break
Soon you will be done, and digest that stupid cake

Time seams to lengthen, going slower and slower
Even now all I want, is a nice hot shower
I must keep moving, and stay alert at the least
This stupid crappy feeling I must defeat

The Clock strikes six, and its time to go home
But my friends are at a party and tell me to come
So I go again, and stay up late into the night
The next morning at work, I again, have to fight

Party all the time and fullfilling obligations to your familly and job usually means running yourself ragged, but hey, we have a lot of memories and fun!
