My Only Love

by Carol Davis   Jun 6, 2006

Today I fell in love
I never knew love like I did today
I was embraced like never before
The love I felt could never compare
to another’s heart
I was lost within.
My hands were bound to the soul of my
own heart
Forever I drown in the depths of this forbidden
love
Tomorrows like the setting sun
My own soul will travel beyond
I shall follow wherever it leads
No disappointments shall ever appear
Nor the tears they shall remain unknown
This love will never forsake my own
I do cherish you and I shall never
dwell of this past
The crisp morning air kisses my soul and brings
me to my knees
The chains that shall never unlock nor
spring fourth
The whips that echoed through my soul, is
my undying love to be held once more
I shall not nor will not give into other’s love
I seek my own soul and my owns love
If you love me as you say then unlock the ties of
my own spirit
I will always love you and you’re my only love
