Why did you have to leave?
Why did you have to go?
Is this the way it has got to be?
Me staring down a lonely road?
I know I pulled away,
From your gentle grasp.
I could not find the words to say,
I loved you more than half,
Of what you thought I did.
I could not let you know,
That I was too stubborn to give in.
I guess I have lost my way on this lonely empty road.
