Freefall Lover

by Sea2Summit   Jun 10, 2006

Another cool day just floating in the air
It was too late for worry it was too soon to care

Then a reflection of love light shined onto my eye
An Invitation in colours asking for a try, don't ask me why

She was a free flowing angel so far from compare
A beautiful illusion maybe living in a dare, I didn't care

One flower from heaven falling to me from the sky
Always to grow in my heart ‘til the day I die
Just had to cry

With hearts full of joy we danced on the waves
Thankful for the true love, so grateful for what it gave
Lost souls truly saved

Embracing so strongly so deeply inside
Beginning our ultimate journey on a starlight ride

Was this re-birth God created too good to be true?
A world filled with miracles in shades of yellow and blue

My soul still might be lost when I reach the ground
But there can be no denying about what was just found

Just once in a lifetime appears such a light
But you'll never recognize it unless you see it just right
In the night; even through your fright

Then approaching dark clouds from below came to call our love sin
We were too important to each other to ever let them in

When I opened my eyes from being in our place
You were gone, my heart was empty, you disappeared from space
Leaving no trace and I fell from grace

They blew through you on a cold wind before our life could start
Is that when your love froze and broke our promise to your heart?

In a rainfall of regret we lost our way to the sun
So much left to live, so much more to give, so much left undone

How is it that souls like ours can lose their precious sight?
Was that the sun you followed or just a blinding light?

Wondering what kind of hope your world is really made of
And what it was that made you run from the shelter of our love

Counting your 'I Love You's' I continue my hopeless fall
Never wavering from the notion that only real love can conquer all
If you recognize its call

Just know that my love won't be late when you have some space to fill
And that the only difference between your dreams and what's real is the strength of your heartfelt will

Please don't forget that for just one moment we were perfect
just who we wanted to be
Alive with meaning, impassioned hearts and spirits soaring so free
