A nightmare at your heels

Oh, what a depressed heart
crushed and broken
and fallen apart
so many times has it been trodden on
so old and sad
such a pity..

oh what a loving smile
so beautiful and full
and all the while
such pain inside
no one can know
what it hides
smooth on the outside
crushed on the inside
a nighmare at your heels
running away from whats already inside of you
