Mommy Doesn't Love Me

by Never*gonna*make*it   Jun 16, 2006

I don't think my mommy likes me,
she never tells me so.
I tell her everyday
but she just lets it go.

I ask daddy why she hates me,
he says he doesn't know.
If my mommy does love me
she never lets it show.

I wish I could understand
all this grown up stuff.
I've seen her hurt my daddy
and I've just had enough.

I know my daddy loves me,
he tells me everyday.
He hugs me and kisses me,
and helps me on my way.

I don't know why mommy doesn't like me,
but I know my daddy does.
My mommy's not around a lot
but my daddy's a blessing from above.

This is a true story. This poem is about my best friend Austin. He's a single father of twin 3 year old boys. He's the most amazing person I know.
