My Reflection

by AGirlWorthFightingFor   Jun 17, 2006

I am haunted by my reflection
There is no end to my deception
I face the mirror, she turns away
Her mouth forced shut by all I couldn't say

My reflection never answers
I am nothing but a cancer
In your chest, your heart is black
There's nothing I want more than

My reflection in the mirror
Where do we go from here?
Chasing the ghost of a good thing
The ring went down the sink

I am haunted by my reflection
It bares the marks of my transgressions
Against my object of obsession
All because you rejected me

I am haunted

Good one! The over all atmosphere you created was my favorite part. As I scanned through the poem a few times, I actually started to feel lost, without direction just as the narrator does.

Pretty Good Poem, But The Rhyme Scheme is Inconsistant. Also, It's A Little Choppy And Doesn't Flow To Well. With A Little Work It Could Be Really Good.
