The Refreshing Taste Of Death

by Cantchangeme   Jul 2, 2006

The fire that burned us
Burned out long before
Being trapped inside this dark
Form behind a broken door

Cuts upon the feet of humanity
Treading on broken glass
So you wanted this humanity
All you had to do was ask

Can you here the crying
Or is it the tears inside your head
Are you feeling proud
Now that all innocence is dead

The demons are rushing forward
For yet another taste of flesh
Your tears stain your pretty face
Your bloods never been as fresh

Wake up smell the morphine
Getting pumped inside your vein
Being oh so very medicated
Will never ever taste the same

Just like the breaking of brittle bones
Will forever haunt you from within
No these gods dont like you anymore
Your just a tragic waste of skin

Roll the dice, pick lucky sevens
As the flames first taste your breath
Nothing ever tasted so refreshing
As the refreshing taste of death

Wow. This was a really sad/haunting poem.

    Can you here the crying
Or is it the tears inside your head
    Are you feeling proud
Now that all innocence is dead
[I loved that stanza. Thought you wrote that really well.]
Your flow and rhyming were pretty good. Keep it up! 5/5
