Her Prince

by eternitySOlong   Jul 3, 2006

Look through the glass
Past the shattered mirror
You'll see her distorted world
And feel her biggest fear

Those glassy eyes water
Bitter tears slowly lead
Down to her veins
The ones that contantly bleed

She's trying to fill a void
Looking for prince charming
To sweep her off her feet
And give a reason to sing

Days, week, months, years
All somehow pass away
The wrong ones kill
And leave her body in disarray

Scars, bruises, invisible pain
Carved straight to the bone
She realized once and for all
She's destined to be alone

Holding a boquet of hopeful roses
She waits for the last wish to die
So she can slowly drift off
And whisper a final good-bye

Ah, the last petal wilts
As does her heart
Her soul is scattered
And forever torn apart

Her lonesome death
With no one by her side
Alone 'til the end
A tragic suicide

    I love that Verse. The reader can feel how your hope is getting smaller. Or maybe i just look at poems from my perspective {of no hope. lol}

    Really amazing ending too.
