War is war

by melissa   Jul 3, 2006

War is war
no matter what they say.
you cannot hide what war is
in any kind of way

for war is destruction
and many innocent people dying
it is the base for screaming
and little children crying

war is war

if war was to reach my ears
these a just a couple of things
i would be sure to hear.

war is the sound of terror,
and the sound of deadly machines
of running, shooting and explosions
and dying soldiers silent screams

it is the sound of violent death
it is the sound of panic
it is the sound of a deadly bomb
and the sound of pure manic

war is war and the taste is never sweet,
if war and my tongue should meet
i would taste the bitterness of death
the saltiness of my tears
the warm and spicy taste of fire
and the sourness of my fears

war is war
