You Were Everything

by Amy   Jul 7, 2006

Your the reason why I cry at night.
The emptiness I feel inside.
Your the wasted teardrops
Burning holes through the floor.
Your the rampant disease that spreads
Without a trace of a cure.

Your the name I whisper
In a drunken slur.
While passing out among empty bottles
on the hard wooden floor.
Your the poison that intoxicates me.
Your the very air I breathe.
Suffocating my lungs inside.
Why the hell did you leave?

Your the screams of the children
Playing barefoot in the street.
Syringes line the gutters.
Mourning lovers cry in defeat.
Your the sun that sets.
In the late afternoon.
A glimpse of perfection & beauty
Disappearing all too soon.

Your an unwritten story
That leaves the ending untold.
You discard me like a piece of paper.
Crumpled & forgotten, I fold.
Your that familiar tune
That twinkles in my head.
But the words all forgotten
Faded like memories, long dead.

Your the love that killed me
Why the hell cant you see?
Don't you f**king understand?
You were EVERYTHING to me!
