Last Night I Had A Dream (the sequal)

by Just Another Dreamer   Jul 11, 2006

Last night I had a dream
A dream I've had so many times
There stood the man I love-
The one who inspires all my rhymes.

He was right there in front of me
The one I could never live without.
Somehow, inside, I knew we\'d make it
How could I have ever been in doubt?

He walked quietly to the end of my bed
As he casually looked around
The slowly he knelt beside me
And still, he hadn't made a sound.

I turned myself to face him
And found myself gazing in his eyes.
The passion I saw inside them
Sort of took me by surprise.

Then, as if he could read my every thought,
A smile crept slowly to his face.
My heart began to beat madly
As if I had just finished some kind of race.

Slowly he took my hand
And signaled me to follow him.
He never faltered as he led me
Although the light was dim.

For the first time in all my dreams
I finally heard his voice
To chose between never hearing that sound and death.
Death would be my choice....

That's all I have so far. I'm not sure if it's worth continuing. Plus, I'm not really sure where to go with it. But I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd comment on what I have so far, or give suggestions on where I could go with this. Thanks for reading!
