Uncharted Turmoil

by HOLLY ARMER   Jul 16, 2006

Ink stained hands
showcasing my pain
Scrubbing to dull
the screams of madness
within each tarnished smear

Begging for peace
as this trembling pen
moves freely releasing
every emotion with such
overwhelming temerity

How dare you
Who said you could
spill the darkest secrets
of my heart upon this
stark canvas of indifference

Save me....please
Rip this torture device
from my cursed hand
and leave me to the
welcoming shrieks of insanity

Let me wither away
fading silently with
barren eyes of blue
into the piercing fate
of uncharted turmoil

This is very intense; I love it. Great choice of words to set a dark, even trapped tone to the poem. Great job.
