Make Out Kids.

by Ironic Allure   Jul 16, 2006

I spent quite a long time,
I spent quite a long time,
And sometimes it's inevitable,
Sometimes it's the furthest thing from my mind,
But I spent quite a long time;
You just got to cut your losses and run.
Boy you're beautiful,
But can you see us making history?
We've discovered that I've got a habit,
Of taking everything I have for granted,
And my ego's bigger than the disappointment.
For the sake of my pride I'd risk it all,
So down we fall.
I didn't have to do it, but I did it to say,
That I've got nothing to prove, but I will anyway.
I can't see me playing fair, I don't care.
And those teary eyes don't jerk my chains,
Not in the same way,
No not in the same way he does.
Yeah it's true, I like you,
Just not as much as you think I do.
Boy, kisses aren't contracts,
You've got nothing left to hold me to.
Four letter words are leverage to me,
I'll get what I want with no guilt or grief.
Heavy breathing and spluttering words,
Were you always this way when you spoke to girls,
Or am I just a special one?
I'll take the latter, for better satisfaction.
Is this enough proof that you were wrong again?
There's very little chance of making amends;
"Make out kids never have the chance to be best friends."

"Make Out Kids - Motion City Soundtrack."
