Something New

Other girls have crossed my path,
However all of them are in my past,
All ending in a bad aftermath,
Leaving me with the feeling that life is unsurpassed.

But then you came along,
and right away I could tell,
That I was wrong to give up
To give up on love.

My days of giving up are at an end,
With you to brighten up my world,
And be more than just a friend,
As we lay together curled.

Words can’t express these feelings,
But here I go again,
Trying the impossible,
Because that’s what you make me do,

Is that this is something new,
