A Summers Day

by Biscuit   Jul 23, 2006

Two birds in a bush
calling out to each other;
sharing secrets in a foreign tongue.

As the butterflies flutter by
dancing and singing,
their beautiful symmetry compliments the sun

A caterpillar crawling past
is feasting on a leaf;
lazily puncturing each in turn

And the ducks in the lake
ruffle their feathers
as a young child rushes to feed them.

    This poem makes me think of home (England) but wants we wonder how it makes you feel. I think to do this you need one last stanza to express your thoughts on the subject.

    Other than that it's just peachy. Even, slow, thoughtful and patient.
