Say goodbye

by silence   Jul 28, 2006

I love you more than life
I love you more then death
I love that you are here
For ever single breath

I know you won't be with me
Forever and that's true
For one day you will die
And I'll have to say goodbye to you

When they put you in the ground
And lay you down to sleep
I'll sit atop your grave
I'll sit alone and weep.

I'll think about the good times
All the memories of us
I'll think of all our friends
And the people we used to cuss

The parties and the road trips
To any other state
I'll close my eyes and imagine
Staying inside the cemetery gate.

For when it is your turn
To go away from me
I'll die soon after
For you will wait and see.

Aside from a few mistakes, this was a great poem. It is sad, but i like it. You have a good rhyme going. Keep it up.
