Soft Whispers

by Princess09   Jul 29, 2006

Heart broken
Tears shed
Thoughts fly by
And fill her head
What did she do
To deserve this pain
Why won't it go
Wash away with the rain
Ear phones on
Smile on her face
Deep down she's confused
And feels out of place
Where does she belong
Where does she fit in
Where can she go
Where her life's not sin
She knows her flaws
Inside and out
She was a mistake
Without a doubt
She tried to be perfect
But whats perfect to you isn't to me
When she looked in the mirror
She didn't like what she would see
She pointed out her imperfections
To her self made them clear
She wasn't worthy to her self
And would let no one get near
She lives in the shade
The dark and her never part
that way no one can get close
Enough to break her heart
Someone whispers I Love You
these words to her ears, send blisters
Pulls her out of the dark
it's amazing the work of soft whispers

A sweet poem after my own heart. You have written it so well to show confusion, modesty and most of all the magic of a soft whisper - don't forget the magic of a loving hug and gentle embrace. =)
