You

by silence   Aug 3, 2006

You let me wonder
You let me sleep
But you never see me
When I weep

You show me that you love me
Show me that you care
But alone I sit
And at this wall I stare

I know you'd like to be there
More often then you are
But you have to have one last drink
Before you can leave the bar

Your son is calling for you
For he misses you as well
But you are out drinking
What time is it, can't you tell?

I'm glad I didn't choose you
To be the father of my son
I'm glad I decided to
Just pack our things and run

You've barely even noticed
That I took your son away
But I know I'll have to face it
In the end one sad day
