X Slash Your Former Lover

by writing;onthewalls   Aug 8, 2006

I'm cutting through; reaching to the cell,
But I can't help myself; I'm living through hell,
Diminish my nerves; can't last in this nightmare,
Your lies have burned through me; like an infecting flare,
Did I make it seem like I was asking for the world,
Because I know it's not something you'd follow through,
I try to erase your image by falling asleep,

But I can see your face; I can feel your veins,
As if you were in my arms,
I wasn't asking for the world.

You're stabbing through; scars on heart to last forever,
All you will claim; missing me has driven you insane,
But you're finally satisfied; my pulse is a pigment of the past,
And now you've finished me; yet with mental thoughts of shame,
Did I make it seem like I was asking for the world,
Because I know it's not something you'd follow through,
Your photographs have been all torn to scratch,

But I can see your face; I can feel your veins,
As if you were in my arms,
I wasn't asking for the world.

Drink the poison of regrets; because we'll never be over,
Drown yourself down; to the bottomless lake,
Drink the poison of love stories that last forever,
You know yourself; you love happy endings,
Did I make it seem like I was asking for the world,
Because I know it's not something you'd follow through,

But I can see your face; I can feel your veins,
As if you were in my arms,
I wasn't asking for the world.
