Gate

by Aline   Aug 10, 2006

I linger on the fortress’ stairs
And tremble from what I couldn’t dare
With no wind descending from the tower
Blowing the dust into my hair

Silence was a moment to share
With the lonesome pictures and a broken chair
Silence touched the forsaken walls
And the mysteries hidden within the air

For the gate is soon shown for what I care
And to what hides inside must be fair
I open the gate to see my father
A scene so hard for an angel to bear.
