This, is my shelter

by beth   Aug 13, 2006

This is my shelter,
The place that I call home,
This is my cage,
Where Im forever alone.
This is my punishment,
For what I do not know,
But they keep assuring me
That everythings my fault.

This is what Ive become,
I am who they hate,
I live in fear of what I long,
Just a comforting embrace.
Hiding in the shadows,
Memories I cant face.
This is my life,
This is my fate.

This is my nightmare,
Each night and everyday.
The smiles come and go
But the blood forever stains.
Scarring my innocence
And trying to escape,
Bound to this hell hole,
Cursed by sorrows blade.

Set me free, Im begging you,
Ill do whatever you want me to,
Ill be your slave,
Ill be your who**,
Just take me away, I cant take more.
I tried to run, I tried to die,
I tried to pretend that I was all right.
Nothing works,
I surrender now,
Ill sell my soul
And slowly fade out.
