What a beautiful piece of art you have painted with your words. Each lovely word drew the reader inside the images you painted in our mind. A trully serene and wonderful job.

    Greetings dearest P&Q members,

First off let me say this is a great site, I've learned much and made some good friends. I would like to thank everyone on the site. It is an hoor and a priviledge when I saw my poem on the opening contest page Which I never understood how this works-is it a committee or panel who decides?. Anyway I was flattered, honored.....and horrified!
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the honor, the spotlight. But it is the poem chosen that embarrases me.Any poem but this one! This piece I consider very second rate, though filled with images and metaphors, it still seems too fairy tale like (I was going through a unicorn phase when I wrote this years ago), I just feel this poem nothing special and cannot believe it was chosen over so many deserving superior pieces.
If you really want to check out what I consider my better poems, here is a small list(the astericks* are those I prefer).

Woo hoo, your poem made it on the first page! You deserve it and really all your poems are amazing and this one is no exception. I love the dreamy feel to this piece, it's definately different than most of you other work. Yet, it's just as beautiful! Congrats! :)

This was unbelievably fantastic. It painted a picture in my mind, more like a movie running through my head. Wonderful, absolutely fabulous usage of words and it was so descriptive. It kept me interested. Indeed, it is a masterpiece. Keep writing so I can keep reading. :]

^ Reborn, I think all of the 'ands' were carefully chosen and help pull the poem together...But you are entitled to your own opinion of course
