Untitled--August 21st

by Suchapoetictradgedy   Aug 21, 2006

Feeling the wind softly caress
The curves of her body,
She watches as the moist
Drops of pain fall softly upon his
Lifeless body, the one she helped
Destroy if only with her words.

She lies there silent, motion-less
As if in a daze, unsure of what
The present is offering her, only
Of what the past has taken away
From her so suddenly, so quickly
She hadn’t learned from her mistakes.

Looking upon his decaying body,
Compassion soon overwhelms this
Still oh so very youthful young
Woman, who is still so unsure of
The things that have come to pass,
And the things that never will.

Will she ever learn to love
Again, love without hurting
Someone every second, with every
False truth that seem to
Ooze out of her body, without
Her knowledge of this horrid thing?
