The Warrior's War

by BrokenMisery   Aug 24, 2006

Salute to the warrior,
Coated in the defeated
(buried by their blood).

The mounted bodies, the chaos, the ruins,
The sacrifice.
The shredded sanity of those left,
To fix broken lives.

Revenge flooding through the children
(Teaching them to hate)
It's the disaster,
You were there to make.

The sunset for the warrior.
Dirty money for the deeds,
It's the hell you created,
As the propaganda deceives.

All hail you, the warrior,
The one we sent to fight
(the one we sent for murder).

And you can't wash away the stain,
Of the war you endeavoured to start
You may still be alive,
But only by your beating heart.

And you can't wash away the stain,
((Take away the 'And'..It flows better))

I really liked this... Usually I dislike poems about war or even romotely close to war, but I really enjoyed reading this. You had wonderful flow and a great story to tell...Excellent job.
