Poet's Serenade

by Twisted Heart   Aug 24, 2006

A thought, by any other name
Might make the nectar sweet
But if you take a closer look
It may sound incomplete.

Mere words are said to tantalize
A vision or a dream
But Poetry in Motion
Completes the scheme of things.

A summer walk along the beach
Becomes a stroll at water's end
And the sunset you are watching
Is God's kaleidoscopic friend.

A child so full of loving wonder
Is an Angel in Disguise
And the old man on the corner
Is an Aged Soul who's strong and wise.

Simple words that flow together
By a heart that's unafraid
To offer us such treasures
In a Poet's Serenade.
