The Door of Insanity

by Twisted Heart   Aug 28, 2006

Hear not the rap upon the door
Tell your mind to ignore its call
For just as surely as you answer
Under its wicked spell you'll fall.

Don't give the master satisfaction
As he knocks and pleads with you
He'll shred your life and wound your heart
And leave you broke and destitute.

He'll use your loved ones as a vice
As he stirs your mind's confusion
Then he'll strip you of love's light
And make you feel it was illusion.

Don't think his arms are love's embrace
Don't turn your back, [stand strong and true]
For if you do, He'll tempt your fate
Then, he'll have his way with you.

He'll taint your mind with memories
Long lost, to bring you to your knees
With wicked fingers he'll destroy
What's left of your sanity.

Then, he'll laugh with sheer delight
As you lay crumpled on the floor
No longer strong enough to fight
Because you opened up the door
