Red Rose 4 Me

by Juanita   Aug 28, 2006

There was a boy,
there was a girl.
He admired her,
She was in another world.

This boy, he loved,
her more than life.
This boy, he was nice to her,
through soft times and strife.

When her father left,
When her brother died.
When she got sick,
his love he tried to hide.

Her browish red hair,
Her shining eyes.
He tried to conceal,
his dreamy sighs.

He was her friend,
he was her pal,
and when her sickness,
got worse, to reveal his love, he didn't allow.

He kept it secret,
he kept it hidden,
she never knew,
when he told himself he loved her, he wasn't kiddin'.

Then one day,one rainy day,
They told him she was gone.
Then on that day, that rainy day,
he thought of her voice, soft like a song.

She always said,
"I thank you, for being my friend,
and I won't ever forget,
not even at the end."

But the end came sooner,
sooner than she thought,
and he cried inside,
and a one single rose was what he bought.

From the times that they talked,
about books and the constant May rain showers,
he remembered what she said,
that the red rose was her favorite flower.

So he walked to her grave,
the day after she died.
and placed that red rose,
to the grave's left side.

He whispered to the grave,
the day after she passed,
"I have admired you so,
and this love, it will last."
