Major jukebox disco damage

by Drew Gold   Aug 29, 2006

It is emptier
than a pin prick of light
suffocating beneath soil;
wider than a memory, and deep
as a lungful of thought

there is no map, only
warm footprints sliding off
the edge of a waterfall

as it tingles, tip-toeing
back up your spine

into tongueless air.

everything: it is and not
at the same time,
a living litany written
in scribe; a pacing patient
waiting to thrive

and for you, it certainly is
new -- hopefully lost
but never so true.

Mmmmmmmmmm! Its like eating chocolate you know that? Your work....can only be compared to eating chocolate, I have little to say, no critique as usual, the title threw me a bit... dont see how it matches the piece and I see how the line spacing alters the reading I can never quite seem to work mine like that. Fantastic Drew! Fantastic!
