Falling for you

by Fig   Sep 2, 2006

(technically lyrics to a song i wrote, but i put it here anyway)

The autumn leaves are falling
and your life is down there
Falling from you
Falling from you

And my island eyes are calling
But the rain from yours is
Falling too soon
Falling from you

You see me standing there
underneath a canopy of light
stars are falling there, crawling there
seeking refuge from the night

spread your arms above
Raining paper down upon my head
See me lying there
dying there
then i hear the words you said...

That you, would die for me, but i cant cry for you
You would die for me but i cant cry for you

And the mist is slowing dripping
And your words are still
tripping from you
falling for you...

I wanna comment on this again because I absolutely loved it! Really I did! I loved the image of the stars seeking refuge from the night as well, totally original! I was also reading all the lovely comments you've made on my poems and I wanted to thank you and not only for the loverly things you've said but also because I got my inspiration from you. If I'd never read your work I'd still be writing the cheesy, immature, simplistic crap I started off with that you can see in my first few poems. My style's really matured now and I have you to thank for it so thank you :)

    P.S. You're a babe! xxxx

I want to hear it. i demand it. and i want to see the kittens. :P another truly magnificent piece. it is very very rhytmical and i'm sure it is an absolutley brilliant song.
