Faith and Reason

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 3, 2006

While ages pass our knowledge will grow
Mankind is content with what we know
Yet many theories leave room for doubt
I am sure with time we can work it out

Faith and reason sometimes seem to oppose
The reason for this is error everyone knows
Creation exists yet I find it increasingly odd
Some scientist doubt the existence of God

Observation of nature cannot prove the divine
Reason and logic cannot prove intelligent design
Random natural selection explains all we see?
Reason is supreme when there is no mystery

A supreme being does not meet the standard rule
The empirical evidence of a scientific fool
In all of creation the Creator left not a trace
Of intelligent design for the human race

Without faith my life has no reason or rhyme
I'll never know eternity with the passing of time
Reason is always down to earth and, faith is above it
In this random universe we live in you've got to love it?

Very nicely said... I'm not sure what to say; I can leave novels on other poets posts, but to you there's nothing to say. It's simply perfect.

Oh, I like the meaning of this a lot. It tells about life. Which isn't exactly what I do best lol. The vocab was excellent, once again, and the flow was marvelous. Great work. =) 5/5 xoxo
