It Was Always You

It started from "what's your name?"
to "how was your day?"
it developed into a friendship,
we never knew could turn this way.

we shared secrets, to fights,
tears, to smiles,
past tradgedies, to bad times,
overpowered by memories worthwhile.

letters, to emails,
poems, to calls,
no matter the day,
we gave eachother our all.

you showed me all i could be,
and how it felt to be loved,
you showed me that angels
really do fall from above.

you showed me the light,
in even the darkest of days,
you always knew how to make me feel better,
you always knew what to say.

even through the bad times,
you stuck by my side,
even when the guys i longed to hold,
left and shattered my pride.

if only i would have realized,
what i always deep down inside knew,
that the love of my life,
is and always will be......YOU!
